This Wild Garlic stained glass roundel has been hand painted and kiln fired using traditional stained glass techniques which have not changed since medieval times.

Part of the “Nature’s Apothecary” collection celebrating the healing powers of native Irish plants and trees.

This piece is perfect hung on its own or can be grouped with other pieces from the collection.

  • 13cm diameter

  • hand painted, kiln fired glass

  • the yellow areas on this piece are achieved using silver stain which was introduced in the 14th century and is what gives stained glass its name

  • traditional lead surround

  • copper ring attached for hanging in a window

  • signed

  • presented in an environmentally friendly gift box

  • all packaging is plastic free

Wild Garlic, Allium ursinum is widely used in traditional medicine to treat toothache, sore eyes, warts, coughs and colds, asthma, rheumatism, stomach aches, sciatica and tuberculosis. It is also a delicious and highly nutritious culinary herb.

Please note that this item is made in the traditional method using lead and is therefore not suitable for children. We recommend washing your hands after handling.
