St Brendan the Navigator giclée print
Saint Brendan the Navigator giclée print taken from my original art work.
Professionally printed on exceptional quality A4 (210mm x297mm) German etching paper.
Image size 11cm 18cm
Each print is personally titled and signed.
Protected in a crystal clear compostable cello bag with a board backing your print will be shipped to you in a hard backed envelope.
This piece shows St Brendan with his monks on his incredible voyage to sail to the promised land.
Of all Irish saints, Brendan was the greatest traveller and is said to have celebrated Easter on the back of a whale....how fabulous!
Tales of his voyages have been so embellished that it is impossible to separate fact from fiction.
An incredible epic voyage led by Tim Severin in the 1970s showed that it was indeed possible to sail a coracle of wood and leather to America showing that Irish monks may well have preceded Christopher Columbus by several centuries.
Please note that the frame is not included and is for illustrative purposes only.
