New Seaweed Pressing Workshop

Join me in the beautiful surroundings of Castle Ward, on the shores of Strangford Lough, for a relaxing workshop exploring the art of seaweed pressing.

Discover the Victorian practice of preserving seaweed specimens and learn how to create your own beautiful botanical pressings. During the workshop, I will guide you through the process of selecting and pressing seaweed, sharing tips on responsible foraging and identifying specimens suitable for pressing.

The workshop will take place in the Trail Head, located in the farmyard beside the estate's back gate.

Parking is available in the Shore Car Park.

Cost: £65 per person

Included in the workshop:

  • All materials required for pressing, including freshly collected seaweed

  • Tea, coffee and refreshments

  • Instructions and advice on how to complete and care for your pressings at home

No previous experience is necessary, just bring your curiosity and enjoy a mindful morning inspired by the natural beauty of Strangford Lough.
